Description:

Rob Reinhardt, M.Ed., LPCS, NCC and John P. Duggan, M.A., NCC, LPC, LCPC discuss how the ICD-10/DSM-5 transition intersects with technology. Rob and John talk about Electronic Health Records (EHR’s) and other technologies counselors can use to improve their workflow. This podcast explores the common question – “is it safe to trust all of this technology with confidential data” – and Rob offers practice guidance to reassure professional counselors and clients. Finally, Rob and John explore way that professional counselors can remain compliant with HIPAA and ethics when using technology.
