Counselors use data to inform practice considerations such as developing targeted treatment plans, determining program outcomes, and documenting efficacy for funding sources. Often, we have a complicated relationship with data; we want to use assessments to benefit our clients and practice, but we wonder about how to best select, interpret, and report the data we have available. This session will focus on efficacy, utility, and competence in the use of assessment and the collection of data.
