Social Justice and Advocacy Through Global Mental Health- Creating a Lasting Change

Mar 30, 2019 10:30am ‐ Mar 30, 2019 12:00pm

Description

Research has shown that 76–85% of people living in developing countries with mental health problems do not receive treatment. Our job as advocates is to ensure that mental health services are accessible to all—both within the U.S. and abroad. Through open dialogue and a discussion of research and established programs, attendees will attain a greater understanding of the importance of global mental health and learn how to get more involved within this realm of the profession.
