For every death by suicide, at least 147 individuals are exposed, and 18 of them experience a major life disruption (American Association of Suicidology, 2014). Suicide has the potential to affect many individuals, communities, families, and systems. In this roundtable session, the presenter will discuss a therapeutic gardening counseling approach counselors can use to support clients through their grief. Attendees will be able to discuss the approach’s benefits and limitations and share their own ideas and strategies.
