A Counselor’s Role in the American Health Care System

Description

Approximately 43.6 million adults in the U.S. have a mental health diagnosis. Within the current political climate, the health care system is still in flux, and counselors are challenged to navigate the ever-changing landscape. This poster examines the impact of the health care system on the counseling profession, calls professionals to take leadership roles through service and advocacy, and provides suggestions for the counselor’s daily practice.
