CPCE Predictors- Admissions, Program, and Training Implications

Mar 30, 2019 4:00pm ‐ Mar 30, 2019 4:30pm

Description

Many counseling programs use the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (CPCE) as a capstone experience. However, there is limited research examining CPCE results and how to best predict student success on the exam (e.g., undergrad GPA, GRE, demographics, various counseling course grades). The purpose of this session is to share the results of an empirical study that examined possible predictors of CPCE results (N ≈ 625). Implications for master’s programs and future research will be discussed.
