Creating a Culturally Sensitive Wellness Program for International Students

Description

International students face unique challenges and mental health concerns, yet they tend to underutilize counseling services. Best practices suggest that counselors provide outreach programs to meet international students’ needs. In this session, the presenter will propose a culturally sensitive wellness outreach program for international students. Attendees will gain better knowledge of the population as well as strategies to provide culturally sensitive counseling and outreach programming.
