A Community-Based Systemic Mental Health Intervention to Address Reunification

Mar 31, 2019 7:30am ‐ Mar 31, 2019 8:30am

Description

The opioid epidemic, specifically related to prescription drugs, continues to escalate, impacting not only those with an opioid use disorder (OUD) but also many children who grow up in households with an adult diagnosed with OUD. Child–parent relationship therapy (CPRT), an evidence-based approach, was used in a community-based setting to address reunification of parents with an OUD with their children. Presenters will discuss learned lessons, adaptations to the CPRT intervention, and outcomes for the 50+ families served.
