Corrections Counseling- Providing a Framework for Effective Re-entry Treatment

This session's aim is to explore literature and characteristics of those who offend and provide a framework for an integrative treatment approach utilizing reality therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive–behavioral therapy to target criminogenic needs. Attendees will gain an understanding of characteristics, treatment needs, and strategies that promote re-entry. Attendees will be exposed to treatment planning and measure objectives that promote skill attainment and decrease the risk of offending behaviors.
