Description

Political identity is an under investigated aspect of personal identity that impacts a client’s worldview, values, and relationships. In this session, we explore how the 2016 presidential election impacted politically divided significant relationships. We will highlight components of political identity, discuss bipartisan relationships, and offer strategies for bipartisan relationship preservation or reconciliation based on a qualitative study. Attendees will learn direct applications for clinical practice.
