Description

This session provides an overview of the history of social justice in the counseling profession and of current social justice movements happening in the U.S.. The presenters recognize that topics like DACA, Black Lives Matter, and #MeToo can feel too risky to bring into the classroom. Knowing this, the presenters have identified four strategies for having courageous conversations related to social justice and current social justice movements in the classroom.
