Description

Attendees will gain knowledge on working with children who exhibit aggressive and violent behaviors through working with parents and teachers in treatment for a holistic and systemic intervention. The content focuses on improving counselors’ understanding of how to integrate significant adults in treatment who have influence in children’s overall emotional well-being. The information provided will highlight the rationale for working systemically to reduce children’s violent behavior.

  • Attendees will understand multiple approaches to working with child clients.
  • Attendees will gain knowledge surrounding the mental health implications of violent behavior in children.
  • Attendees will leave with resources on different ways to work with child clients through work with parents, schools, and communities.
