Chi Sigma Iota chapters are uniquely positioned to create cultures of mentorship that can empower the development of multicultural leadership competence. This session will provide a conceptual framework on factors correlated to multicultural leadership in counseling. Leaders within CSI and the profession will describe mentorship initiatives within CSI chapters that are context-situated, empowerment-oriented, and culturally responsive with a focus on enhancing attendees’ competence in community building, inclusive mentoring, and shared decision making.
