Mar 31, 2019 12:15pm ‐ Mar 31, 2019 1:15pm

Description

Many of us do innovative and important counseling work every day, yet we never consider sharing our work in a scholarly way. Perhaps it’s lack of time and resources, or maybe we don’t know where to start. This session will be a lively and informative presentation to help you find ideas to turn your current work into research in a fun and inclusive way. We will show you how using reflexivity paired with qualitative research methodologies can enable you to share your work and experiences with others in the field.

  • Participants will understand the importance of research to the counseling profession.
  • Participants will be able to define reflexivity and identify how it can guide a scholarly approach to their practice.
  • Participants will create a plan for creating research within their current practice.
