Description

The purpose of this poster is to inform counselors about the nature and prevalence of traumatic brain injury (TBI) among post-9/11 veterans, the relationship of TBI to life satisfaction, and implications for counseling. It will present the results of a study of 500 combat veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars who completed comprehensive batteries of cognitive, affective, health-related, and quality-of-life measures.

  • Understand, describe and measure the construct of Life Satisfaction.
  • Understand and describe predictors of Life Satisfaction for combat Veterans with traumatic brain injuries.
  • Be able to integrate Life Satisfaction as an outcome in counseling with Veterans.
