The purpose of this poster is to inform counselors about the nature and prevalence of traumatic brain injury (TBI) among post-9/11 veterans, the relationship of TBI to life satisfaction, and implications for counseling. It will present the results of a study of 500 combat veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars who completed comprehensive batteries of cognitive, affective, health-related, and quality-of-life measures.
Understand, describe and measure the construct of Life Satisfaction.
Understand and describe predictors of Life Satisfaction for combat Veterans with traumatic brain injuries.
Be able to integrate Life Satisfaction as an outcome in counseling with Veterans.
