Description

This poster will focus on helping counselors and counseling educators learn more about misophonia and the impact that the disorder has on the diagnosed individuals, as well as their interactions with their family, friends, and various other relationships.

  • Participants will learn more about misophonia, including the most common presentation of symptoms and diagnosis.
  • Participants will learn about past and current treatment options as well as possibilities for future treatment based on current research which will be helpful for counselors assisting their clients.
  • Participants will learn about the impact that misophonia has on diagnosed individuals, as well as the impact that it has on their interactions with friends, family, employers, and other common relationships.
