Description

In this chapter, the multidimensional premise behind the power of the visual arts is explored as well as the practical use of visual arts in counseling (e.g., serial drawings and photography). In addition, it is explained and illustrated how the visual arts can be used with a variety of populations (from children to older adults) and in various settings (e.g., from hospitals to educational environments). Unique visual arts, such as counselor drawings, are also discussed. The use of the visual arts with other creative arts (e.g., music and psychodrama) is highlighted too.
