I did not regret the two hours I had stopped my studies in order to go through the training and took the exam. I learned a lot and I realized at the same time that self-care is part of well-being of not only self, but of the immediate family members, the clients, the co-workers, ... the counselor's personal interaction with her/his community. I also think that self-care must be carried out at the same pace all along the journey of the mental health counseling student's first day in class to the last day s/he terminates the last therapy session in his or her life.
Thank you for your generosity to share your thoughts and wisdom with us.
