The focus of this webinar is to provide clinicians in the field an overview of the military and its culture, which will create a better understanding of this population’s needs and how counselors can best serve them.
Learning Objectives:
- To identify and increase knowledge about veterans and military service members, both as a demographic and as a protected class.
- To broaden understanding about the military experience and culture and its lasting impact on veterans as they transition back to civilian.
- To identify opportunities and ways we, in the mental health community, can support our service members and their families.

This was a really great webinar. I am a graduate student about to start my practicum on a military installment overseas and I am a civilian. I truly have become more educated in the military culture and what to be aware of while serving this population in the field of mental health. Thank you!
