Come join us again for another hands-on presentation! Presenters will demonstrate experiential activities and techniques that can be implemented with culturally diverse families who are experiencing severe conflicts and crises. The presenters will also discuss pertinent DSM-5 diagnoses when working with families in crisis and will provide specific exercises that can be implemented through the various stages of family therapy including: rapport building, assessment, coping with feelings, and building social skills.

Learning Objectives:

  • Demonstrate 15 experiential techniques for working with children in crisis
  • Discuss recent changes to the DSM-5
  • Discuss strategies for working with families in crisis
