Developing strong qualitative research designs and quality manuscripts for publication in national journals are challenging for new scholars and scholars-in-training. This session discusses some of the most common and egregious pitfalls and missing links to good qualitative research and manuscript design, towards better success in publishing trustworthy qualitative research and quality manuscripts, from the perspectives of two journal reviewers/editor at several national/international journals.
This presentation will offer recommendations to improve qualitative research design and manuscript development. The presenters will share their experiences reviewing for several top national counseling journals, with a special attention on how researchers can craft more effective qualitative studies and focus on essential aspects of qualitative research manuscript development.
