Nicole Stargell PhD

Assistant Professor, UNC Pembroke

Nicole A. Stargell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She serves as the Field Placement and Testing Coordinator for the UNCP counseling programs, the co-Advisor of the Phi Sigma Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, a member of the UNCP e-Learning Task Force and Institutional Review Board, a member of the ACA Practice Brief Advisory group, and a member of the editorial board for the Counseling Outcome Research & Evaluation Journal. Nicole earned her doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her master’s degree from Youngstown State University in Ohio. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed School Counselor, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. Nicole has published 17 peer-reviewed articles, and she has made 30 national/international conference presentations.
