Ivelisse Torres-Fernandez PhD

Ivelisse Torres-Fernandez, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Counseling and Educational Psychology Department at New Mexico State University. She received her doctoral degree in School Psychology from The University of Iowa and has worked with the CACREP MA program at NMSU since 2008. Dr. Torres-Fernandez’s research interests include socio emotional learning, resiliency, child and adolescent mental health, multiculturalism and social justice issues in counseling, and bilingual counseling and supervision. Her teaching interests include counseling, child and adolescent mental health, multicultural counseling, supervision, and professional issues.
