Andrew Campbell, Ph. D. has a Doctorate in Counseling from the George Washington University. He currently works as an Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Hood College, M. S. Counseling program, and is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. His teaching focuses on counseling theory and techniques, with recent coursework on psychodynamic, cognitive-behavior, and mindfulness-based approaches. Dr. Campbell's research focuses on the use of mindfulness meditation and mindfulness-based therapies with young adults and adolescents, counselor development, internet use, as well as how mindfulness factors into the training of new counselors. His counseling experience includes work in hospital in-patient and out-patient centers, college counseling centers, and in high schools.
