Brian R. Russ PhD

Dr. Brian Russ graduated from Western Michigan University with his PhD in counselor education and supervision. He has over 15 years of experience in a community mental health setting, including three years as a clinical director. During his time as clinical director, Dr. Russ helped develop a Medication Assisted Treatment Program for those struggling with a severe and persistent mental illness and opioid addiction. He also developed protocols and advertising strategies for countywide Narcan distribution to help prevent opioid overdose fatalities. Dr. Russ is currently an Assistant Professor of Mental Health Counseling at Indiana University-Purdue University of Columbus. He has presented nationally on the opioid epidemic.
