Linwood Vereen is an Associate Professor of Counselor Education at Shippensburg University. Dr. Vereen is the program coordinator for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling major and is a long standing member of the American Counseling Association. He currently engages in professional and scholarly work focused on humanism as a central tenet of professional counseling, existentialism, humor in counseling, clinical supervisor development, group dynamics, and mindfulness within the small group experience. Recent publicans by Dr. Vereen included: The Synonymic Nature of Professional Counseling and Humanism: Presumptions That Guide Our Identities which was featured in a special issue of the Journal for Humanistic Counseling. His leadership position with the field of Professional Counseling and Counselor Education include serving as the Chair of the Western Region of the American Counseling Association, Secretary for the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. Dr. Vereen is a proud Father.
