Rafe McCullough, Ph.D., NCC, LPC, is a Counselor Educator at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. He has backgrounds in both school counseling and in clinical mental health counseling. Rafe has been an active member of the American Counseling Association, serving on the CACREP Revisions Committee in 2013, the Multicultural Competency Revision Committee for The Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD) from 2015-2017, and as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee for The Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling (ALGBTIC) in 2016. He is currently serving on the ACA Cultural Encounters Taskforce Committee, the AMCD Ethics Committee, and the ACES Social Justice and Human Rights Committee. His writing and research interests focus on multicultural and social justice counseling and advocacy, LGBTQ, and particularly the needs of transgender individuals. He has been involved in advocacy efforts in transgender communities for over 20 years.
