Dr. Megan Shaine, NCC, LCPC, LPC is an Assistant Professor of Counseling and the Practicum and Internship Coordinator at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. She holds a PhD in Counseling and a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The George Washington University. Dr. Shaine's research and clinical interests center around trauma, loss, and life transitions, particularly among military service members and veterans, university students, and new parents. She has extensive experience supervising master's level counseling students in individual, triadic, and group formats. Dr. Shaine maintains a small private practice in Washington, D.C., where she works primarily with emerging and young adults coping with trauma, grief, and the transition to parenthood.
