Lauren R. Paulson, Ph.D., LPC, NCC is an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. In addition, she has worked in a rural area as a professional counselor and supervisor for 15 years. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and conducts research on issues related to counseling and supervision in rural areas and eating disorders in college students. She has received funding to implement several studies to provide quality education and training to rural mental health workers. Finally, she has presented at local, state, national, and international conferences on the issues faced by rural workers and was featured in two Counseling Today articles.
