Group counselor at halfway house for women ex-offenders, elementary and secondary school counselor, Director of Training, William Glasser Institute 1988-2011. Specialization: adapting reality therapy to multiculturalism. I have trained indigenous instructors in Japan, Singapore, Korea, India, Kuwait, and elsewhere. I have also incorporated into reality therapy several Ericksonian principles and mindfulness techniques. Participants from various ethnic and racial groups attending training sessions find reality therapy relevant to their work because it combines empathy, listening, and cultural appreciation with action-centered planning and social justice.
